"wouldnt touch it with a ten foot pole"
sounds better
but i would prob trade it
and it depends by what u mean by beat on......
in all reality some ppl would consider all of us beating on our cars
That sounds similar to my daily driver, w/o N2O though.
My car has 73K miles. Engine was hydralocked in the summer of 2000 and rebuilt by a performance shop. Car made 70 passes at the strip before I gave up on drag racing. Hasn't been to the strip since 1/16/02. While I engage in some spririted street driving, I rarely take it to redline.
Heads/cam setups can make the valvetrain louder than stock, depending upon the ramp rates of the cam. If the rocker arms weren't tightened with the pistons in the correct position it could be a bit noisier as well. The injectors tick on a stock motor, but it's a different type of tick than the valves.
If it has a cam, it probably has different valvesprings as well. I wouldn't want to push any single coil spring (vs. a dual coil spring) past 15K miles. I'd want to know:
- Which cam is installed and the camcard specs
- how many miles are on the springs
- type of NOS setup (dry/wet)
- how big of a shot
- if the longblock is stock. If not, what's been changed?
- has a bigger fuel pump or larger injectors been installed?
- how and where was the PCM tuned?
