I have the weld-in tubular SFC's from Dynamic MotorSports (DMS) for $130. They fit very well and went in easily. I noticed a big change in the feel and tightness of the car after they were installed. I also got the 1.25" lowering springs from DMS for $150.

The springs gave the car a nice stance without being slammed to the ground. The ride is of course a bit rougher due to the springs, but not near as rough as it would've been with additoinal suspension mods and different shocks (I have the stock shocks in there still).

Unless you're going full-tilt wild on engine and performance mod's, you may not need the heaviest duty SFC's. Also, if I had to do it over again, I'd install the SFC's and drive the car for a week or so before installing the lowering springs, THEN do the springs if you still feel you want them. The SFC's REALLY tighten things up (body roll, road wander/stability, car feels like it's stuck to the ground and much more solid, harder launches under quick acceleration).

With the DMS SFC's and lowering springs + new BFG G-Force KDWS' (stock 245/50X16), I'm sticky and solid on the road.

Just my $.02

Daryl

PS- BTW, if you want to see some before/after pix, E-mail me offline.

You can see them as you walk towards the car.
You'd never know my Hotchkis were there withing
getting on your knees. Talking boxed to Boxed.
I think the tubular are too weak.
BMR's new boxed SFC's don't hang as low as the old ones. You can't see mine on my car. I highly recommend them. They definitely helped the rattles in my car.

Road course time, auto cross, agressive street driving........get any of the cross braced ones. And SLP copied Kenny Brown not the other way around.
Normal street, mild drag racing...........straight tubular work great.
High HP drag car................boxed straight.
I have Wolf light weight tubular in my street/drag car.
Shame on slp!!!

I am only looking for weld-in, so... as far as ground clearance and visibility are concerned, none of them are going to be a problem?

Is there anything on the GFX that will interfere with the installation?
I am only looking to improve the feel/stability of the car. I've never auto-X'd, or even drag raced. I just love to drive, and want to get all I can out of the car..

You guys have been very helpful thus far...
Are the boxed SFC's overkill? (Price vs. need)

If you look at the BMR boxed compared to the tubular there is only a ~$20 difference, so now that the boxed don't hang as low as they used to I think they a very much worth the extra $20.

I love mine!

I have no experience with other SFC other than mine but...

My BMR fit and finish was very good... they tuck up tight and in black actually make the bottom of the car look better. The car drives like a cement block now with the STB and SFC. The body doing some of the suspension work actually made it ride better. But, the car is very stiff now, no rattles and other than killing the driver over rough road they do very well keeping the body from twisting.

I bought LGMotorsports SFC's with the v-braces, they're on my 93Z28, and what a huge difference it made! The shop that welded them in, he has installed BMR SFC's & Kenny Brown SFC's on 4th gens, and he literally gushed at how well the LGMotorsports SFC's were designed, and the red powdercoat came out very well.

If you want to see pics of the car with them on, let me know. I just got new red powdercoated ones for my new 2001 SS, I'll be getting them installed hopefully in a couple of weeks.

Got them for $305.00 shipped, they're not cheap, and like I have said before, I know Lou Gigliotti has raced our 4th gen f-bodies, so whatever he designs for our cars, he knows what he's doing. I trust his judgement.

I'm not sure that they were on in those pics. Here, I just took a couple quick pics. Mind you my car cannot be much lower to the ground. I held the camera at ground level to take these, they aren't visable walking up to the car at all. The front pic that is the Y-pipe and the tunnel brace you see that hang down much lower.

Thanks man! I think i'll get those instead of the hotchkis. They are hardly visible at all on your car.
