Best place to buy an LS2?

Looking for a new or low mileage LS2.

Best place to look for a reliable one?

This site? Other F-body sites online?

Local junkyard out of a low-mileage GTO or Vette?

No local junkyards have any LS motors. Not sure who keeps buying them up.

I guess I'll start posting ads on fbody boards.

SDPC for the best price on a crate motor. You can build one from scratch for what GM charges for a crate motor though. Get to know a shop with a good scrap guy, and a lot of times you can get a blown motor that is rebuildable. My motor started out as a 6.0 truck block pulled for piston slap.

Grip, if you're looking to build an LS motor, you can start with a junkyard 6.0L LQ4 or LQ9 for cheaper.

Try this site. Horsepower TV used them for a LQ9 motor for a project. Hugh selection. Let us know what you find.

A guy on tech was selling them REAL cheap. I think he was in Texas. He wouldn't become a sponsor, so not sure if he's still on there or not, but it's worth looking in the for sale section. Also, Fparts, which sells on ebay, has some good deals. From time to time, LKQ has REALLY good deals, too. I've seen 6.0Ls with all accessories sell for $800! (though they weren't LS2s...)

EDIT: Here's one from the guy's CrazySwede mentioned. It's on their ebay site w/ 9k miles for $4500
