What did you pay for that stuff ? A lot of mistakes were made with that decision process if you ask me. Did you not like anything we had to say above ? You still need SFC's FIRST before you do ANY suspension. Well I hope your happy with what you did, but give me your car and whatever amount of money you had to spend and you would have seen a night and day difference over how you set it up. GL

I wouldn't say you wasted you money on the Weiand (78mm TB opening) Intake, not if you plan to keep the EGR and/or heavily port it, and enlarge the TB opening, or use it with ''Boost'' or ''spray''. It's just not the "Best gains for my money", unless you got it for around $350 or less.
Yeah, I would of leaned towards the LS6, or BBK SSI (85mm TB opening) intake depending on you needs/wants.
IMO, I would consider canceling your order on the intake, unless some of the reasons I stated above were part of your decision on choosing the Weiand 78mm Intake.

A few of them did, but all of the 01+ cars did.

I'm sorry if i upset anyone. I'm on this fourm and others, talking to reps on the phone, research, the whole 9 yards getting as much knowladge. I've heard more good things about the weiand intake than bad. i feel i got a better product for my $ than the ls6 intake has to offer, proven dyno results over the ls6. (for the same ball-park price tag) But im not here to **** anyone off. I take the advise as i get it.

If it has an EGR port in the front, it's an LS1 intake. If it lacks provisioning, it's an LS6.

Most of the people in this forum (including myself) have owned and built multiple LS1s for years -- we aren't ridiculous sales reps pushing a product or some kids on the internet who don't know what we're talking about.

No 2000 f-body came from the factory with an LS6 intake. So if it's stock with EGR it's an LS1.

Sorry but anybody that tells you that putting a huge chunk of aluminum heat sink on your engine that produces no power gain over a stock LS6 intake doesn't have your best interests in his heart.

no no no... LS6 intake all the way dude, sell that intake or trade it pronto. If you want advice on what REALLY works, call up a tuner that is known for LS work, they will tell you that Aluminum hunk of hot metal does nothing but heat the incoming air.
