best modification gains

Hey guys, I have an 00 t/a 6spd, has slp cat-back, hallowed out cats, k&n air system. I have about $900 to spend. My goal is to hit mid to low 12s by summer. Best gains for my money? Perfer used mods if possible. Also purchased a set of edelbrock subframe connectors new off a buddy, will i see a decent difference in suspension? PM me if you have mods for sale, or call/text 412 403 9941

Long tube headers and an LS6 intake manifold.

If you have 900.00 to spend buy some LT's and a good mail order tune. You should depending on what LT's you buy still have SOME money left over, if your not gonna do the install yourself to pay someone to do it for you.

Don't forget a matching Y pipe with those headers, and make sure to get the mail order tune like karpetcm said -- without it, you'll be leaving a bunch of power on the table.

Im thinking about going with this combo: Pacesetter LTs, ls6 intake manifold, port/polished TB, & underdrive pulley. (tune when i get the $) What kind of gains could i see from that set up & could that put me in the 12s?

Good cool air, a sticky tire, and a good driver could get you into the 12s depending on your tracks' elevation. Should be easy with the mods you propose.

I would go with Pacesetter LT's, mail order tune (Frost), and LS6 intake. I would stay away from the UD pulley and put that money somewhere else like a good set of plugs and wires or something. Maybe even a short throw shifter with a short stick.. GL

Just courious. If i forgot all of the bolt ons, and did 410 gears, vs my stock 342s. Which would i see more of a difference in, the gears or the bolt ons?

I just ordered QTP Lt Headers, Weiand 80mm Intake manifold, BBK 80mm TB. Hoping to do 390 gears, & a nice cam if those labor costs dont break the bank, dyno tune and i should hopefully reach my goal. As for suspension, Im going to Koni Shocks and sway bars.

You just wasted your money on that Weiand 80mm stuff and 80mm intake. Your car might have already had an LS6 on it -- if not, you could have bought a used LS6 for $300 and ported your stock TB for another $100 -- the ported stock TB is good for plenty of horsepower --- 475-500 horsepower easily.

No offense, but I don't understand people who ask for advice, then don't take it.

Exactly, why ask if your ears are closed?
