Best cam for a daily driver/6 speed with bolt ons

If I don't sell this thing I'm thinking its time for a cam. I've heard good things about the Futral cams....any suggestions?

This is not a race car, but rather a daily driver that needs some more *****, so I don't want a full race cam that has a hard time idling or anything like that. Also, what valve springs would you recommend with the cam you recommend?

Anything else besides a dyno tune (and eventually tires) I will need?

Thanks

224/228 .581/.588 112LSA is a good mild/moderate cam by today's standards. Hardened pushrods and 918 springs should get 'er done. A good tune should put you easily over the 380rwhp mark too.

The Futral F-13 would be a perfect daily driver cam that will make over 400 rwhp with an LS6 intake manifold and ported stock TB with what you have in your sig - Not a ton of lope and great drivability.

It makes peak power at 6000 rpm and holds it until after 6500, so you can shift the car anywhere from 6200-6500 rpm.

I'd go with the PRC Duals or the Patriot Golds (don't need em, but I like em) along with titanium retainers.

Any cam bigger than an LS6 cam should have an aftermarket converter IMO.

Yes, but even the stock motor needs a converter since it makes peak torque over 4000 rpm.

Current shopping list:

F13 Cam
LS6 Intake
Patriot Gold Springs/Titanium retailers (is this a good deal: http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com....html?item=651)

Do I need pushrods too? Anything else I'm missing?

Definetly a good deal. EPP is a good vendor.

Hardened Pushrods are REQUIRED... Also an LS2 Timing Chain Set is pretty necessary and an LS6 or ported oil pump wouldn't hurt.

I got my pushrods and timing chaing from TSP both were $127 at that time. and it is a good idea to get em. you will need the stock length of 7.4's.

So add those to your list and I think you will be set. Should hit 400rwhp or so.
