Hey guys i have my 2000 camaro ss and i wanted to get some more power out of it, im in the process of purchasing borla exhaust and some rims but i want some hp add. If anyone has any other suggestions to add hp besides cam and headers ( and supercharge) please tell. But I was wondering what is the best cam for my car to unleash some hp.

Before you get a cam, you need to get headers. A cam without headers is not worth it, you need headers to get the full effects.

 

Here's a way to start....lid,catback,headers,ls6 intake, then cam heads forged pistons billet rods etc... just my input but hasnt hurt my car any and the combo listed in my sig works great for me. Throwing a cam in just complicates your bigger issues. A motor is like a big air pump you want air to flow freely in and out once you get that going then go with the cam...as far as BEST, best for what? What kind of issues are you willing to deal with do you want a little power say ls6 cam or a monster like a trex whats the car going to be used for? How often do you drive it? On the weekends or 100 miles a day? How much lift do you want so on and so forth as far as borla its like paying 600 bucks for a stainless steel cutout but if thats what you like thats just my opinion

considering you can easily get 350rwhp from boltons and a tune, you may not even need a cam depending on your goals.
