well, it appears that my newly installed torque arm with driveshaft safety loop has a bolt that connects the loop to the arm that extends too far into the area where the driveshaft comes through and is rubbing directly against each other.

I'm assuming, that since this part was made as an direct replacement, it should be doing that. Anyone else had this problem? Suggestions? I am having the machine shop look into grinding the nut and/or bolt down to allow clearance. Suggestions? the car is a 99 TA, auto.

I'd get on them to replace the drive shaft. Scoreing the drive shaft will weaken it considerably.

 

I didn't have any problems like that. Mine is a 94' I don't think that would make a difference though. Let me know if you find a fix.
