Long story short...
I was busy making a new switch panel a couple days ago and while I had the console out, I decided to reseal my shifter....
I had used yellow weather stripping before because it was all I had on me and although it sealed just fine, I wanted the piece of mind of using Black Silicone...
Anyhoo, I pulled the shifter and while torquing the bolts down with the new seal, I ended up stripping two of the case threads
That's what I get for swapping shifters 20 F'ng times
I have them snugged down to 20ft lbs. as is and the shifter feels solid, but I'd still like to go ahead and add Heli-Coils as soon as I can because the two that are stripped are on one side (driver)
Anyone know the actual thread size for these bolts so I can get the correct HCs?

Thanx
I had a few others confirm this as well
Thing is, I went to AutoZone today and the closest they had were 8.3mm
They said it should work but I don't really have much faith in them... (especially when a kit will cost me $20 bux)
Gunna head out to Harbor Freight tools tomorrow and see if they have any in stock....
