Just FYI, it would be a whole lot cheaper to just go buy an LS1 car. But thats not the subject here. I had to throw it out there though. But hey, if you got the money, why not try it?

It can be done.. I have 2 buddies that have done this.. The entire wiring of the car has to be changed over to the LS1 style.. interior and exterior (of course). Everything else that has to do with a lt1 on the front end has to go.. K-member, radiator, etc.

I've found that you still have to use the LT1 style for the air induction. Still have you use to bellow and the same spot for the air intake.

They both work for an fbody shop here in Cleveland so the parts came very easy and cheap for them to do it.

I think one of the guys SN on here is SS350S10 or formulized94.. Don't think he'll mind a question or two.

Yep, the LS1 is much taller than the lt1. Your gonna have to get a cowl hood or modify the crossmember. Not sure but there is quiet a bit of modifying required to make it work.

You only need to get a different hood if you plan to use the factory LS1 air box.. Other than that, you do not need to change your hood to fit an LS1 under your stock LT1 hood..

I've seen 2 of them w/o a different hood and a LS1 underneath it..
