Another "what's next" question...
I want to get some more mods done to my car before a big day at the track in another 3 weeks. I already know the best thing I can do to my car is a stall, but I don't have enough yet. I'm looking to spend no more than $500. I've been thinking of getting a pully and LCA's. Only mods I have right now are lid/filter, SFC's, and DR's (getting a cutout installed tomorrow). I won't do anything like the FTRA or SSRA because I have a true ram-air setup already. So what should I do next?
i would highly recommend the LCA's, and while you are at it a set of relocation brackets. those are only about $70 and will help plant the tires even better. while you are under it, may as well spend the $15 on a new polyurethan torque arm mount, to minimize movement of that on launches.
pullies are a good plan
maybe look into a fan switch to keep the engine cool at the track, (not sure if you have it already) but maybe the tb bypass and a lower temp stat.
there was a fan switch in the GP section for like $30 or so...well worth it

How had is it to swap out TA mounts?
robvas: a stall will still have to be out of the question because I wouldn't trust myself with the install... yet. And I already checked in on having an F-Body shop do it, and they want $250. So yeah, must.... wait....
the lower control arms will help ALOT, no relevance of lowered or not.
first of all they are stiffer, and the bushings are stiffer, there fore there is less flex under load. this keeps the geometry of the rear axle in check. they are great and BMR pieces are like $90
the TA mount takes longer to jack the car up than to change...well almost
jack the car up...one bolt on the trans mount, 4 bolts on the trans crossmember....then 3 easy bolts on the TA mount...
grind off the rivets on the old mount, replace the new one with the supplied hardware and slip it back on. took me about 30min not including haveing to drive to my work to use the grinder for the rivets....a file would work but take longer...as would a drill.
it really solidifys the car on launches. my car just kindda squats and launches...no wheel hop or anything.

Just got back from the shop. It was cool: as the cutout was getting installed I was talking to one of the guys about how I want LCA's sometime soon, and he said they had a pair of new Spohns laying around. So yeah, I had them throw those on too. So I killed two birds with one stone today
Cutout and LCA's. W00t!
Oh yeah, looks like I might not be able to get my pulley now, because when the car was up we noticed one of my DR's had a screw in it
So now I need to get two new ones, which isn't too bad of a deal, becaus now I can get 315's
