Alright guys, im a newbie so give me a break. I've been running Pennzoil 10w-30 since I got my car, about 30,000miles ago (its what had been used throughout its life). Now she has 102,000miles and Im wanting to change to some sort of synthetic. Ive heard nothing but good from Castrol Syntec 0w-30 and ive heard about Pennzoil Platinum. Also, I live in Texas, where its around 100 degrees in teh summer, and falls to around 10-30 in the winter. Would that Castrol be a good choice, and what about the Pennzoil Platinum? Thanks guys

 

That's what I'm using, no problems. The GC, and I chose it cause it should be good year round, cold or hot weather. What pressure do you have now? If it's good with dino 30w, it'll be fine with GC.
