Question Amp swing

At idle my battery volt meter swings +/- about 2 steady. Tensioner pulley is new, belt looks fine and not squeeling, not sure what problem is. I have had an instance where I went WOT and car seemed to lose electrical power and mechanical for about a second, but that was just once. The voltage swing is everytime I start the car and remains wether car is cold or hot, volts are steady while driving/under load. Do I need a new part or maybe have an underdrive pulley installed already? I'm not 100% on what mods are installed on it.

PS. I apologize for the multiple postings, I've asked these questions on other forums as well with minimal feedback.

Re: Amp swing

Do you have a 40 year old Ford? Because the car in your sig never came with an ammeter.

Re: Amp swing

are you 100% sure the belt is fine? any leaks? it sounds like you have some sort of leak on your belt, or the belt is just worn out, and its slipping sometimes
