Question All Texas Speed & Performance lid owners inside

For everyone who has a Texas Speed and Performance lid, I was wondering if they all fit rather poorly? My smoked clear lid seals up fine, but it isn't perfectly centered like the stock lid. Also, do all of the TSP lids have an area on each side that looks like it was glued with super glue? Otherwise, I'm happy with the lid.

I've been waiting on mine for 3 months now. (85mm version) They say the reason they can't get me one out is because the epoxy keeps spliting and the lids fall in two. They tell me they are all "test fitted" before they leave the shop. I guess the glue you are referring to is for extra protection against splitting? If mine isn't nearly perfect, I'll send it back and get an MTI lid. Other than that the customer service has been good. Just the same excuse every time I call. Mine should be here tomm. , I'll post up how mine looks.

Mine fits really good. It sits a little high but i think its because of the Frenco i put on there. I really like the design seems to be the best one.

Mine fit OK ALOT better than the whisper lid I had before. I don't remember any imperfections....

Wink

I had the TSP 85mm carbon fiber lid & it was great. I have the regular TSP carbon fiber lid now & it's just fine. As good a fit as any other lid I've had.

mine fit perfectly, and no visible blemishes.

one thing that i did do was to cut a small section out of the radiator shroude just under the "tube section" of the lid. i did this because i had a ZO6 maf on there and the coupling tube that it came with (to connect the maf to the lid since i didn't have the 85mm lid) pressed against the shroud, causing it to sit higher and not line up. and after i switched back to the stock maf it seemed to fit even better since that section of material wasn't in the way.

i'll try to get a shot of it some time to show you what i mean...

other than that i'm very pleased with my lid...only took 2 weeks to get to...but it's the black one

Mine came in today. I see no negative things to say about it, and I have no "glue" on mine. I read a few other threads on ls-1.com and tech, and they said it seems to only be the clear style lids that they are putting this stuff on..

I'm sure its on all of their lids, you can just see it with the clear though.

Like you said though, mine is not centered. Looks like they were off on the mold a little.

Beast96Z, Omega9- I have had a couple of phone calls describing what you are talking about. Just make sure that the radiator support is lined up. You might want to loosen it up and move it towards the passenger side some to see if that helps.
