That low end torque thing is BS. What's really going on is that the torque just keeps increasing with the LS1 as the RPM rise, while on the LT1 the torque hits a peak and then trails off.

While driving an LS1, it's equal power (to the LT1)...and then more power. It's not less power and then equal power. People aren't used to that "second wind."

Advantages:

- awesome power
- GREAT gas mileage
- killer top-end power
- great engine sound
- easy to work on

Disadvantages:

- restrictive intake system
- Dexcool will not last 150K
- car has a "dead spot" at 40MPH, I think it's only A4 cars though

Definitely not a clicking noise. It sounds more like metal scraping metal. I've taken it in a few times to have it looked at and no one can find anything wrong with it. Of course now that my warranty has run out, it's doing it a lot more. I wish I had someone around who knows cars that could help out.

you should take it in again and see if they will take care of it under warrenty since they have a record of it being in there for that same reason before it ran out you might have to fight for it but i bet you could get it done

I doubt they will but I guess it's worth a try. Thanks.

i dont suppose it might have had to do with driving them in a slightly illegal manner all the time right???
