I have the same exact problems. I thought it was the bellow being too long and putting too much stress on the lid. I cut it down a little bit, still have the problems. I am considering a new lid, FT, SLP or something along those lines. I am just not very happy with my whisper.


BTW if any of you guys who have had problems with the lid and have managed to fix it one way or another, post some pics, it'll help others out!

Why don't you guys try this?
take everything off of the lid.
take the filter out.
now install just the bare lid and see if it'll hook up and stay hooked.
If no get a different lid.
If yes, install the filter and lid.
Does it still stay hooked?
If yes then the MAF without the bellows.
Just keep adding parts until you find the point of interferance and fix it.

Personally, I did that. No luck. It was an easy fix though. I just need to cut the wire ties when I clean/reoil the filter.
