Advantages of the LS6 block over the LS1? And likewise?
In 2001 MY, 10% of Z28s had LS6 blocks instead of LS1's.
In 2002 MY, 25% of Z28s had the LS6 block.
Thats the stat I've been told... I was wondering what the advantage of having this block over the LS1 is? And likewise? I'm assuming the LS6 has a little more potential. What equipment came w/ the LS6 on Z28s that differed from the LS1's??
Any responses are very appreciated. Thanks

As pyscho said, larger windows which allow for better bay to bay breathing but I think that's pretty much it. I do have an LS6 block and I guess it's cool to be able to say that but I really don't think anyone cares.

I assume it comes with a better LS6 intake manifold and exhaust manifolds. Those are both better than the stock manifolds. The exhaust one is worthless, headers are just better. The intake is cool though. I assume it comes with more RWHP stock.
