Sorry but the tornado is a total joke on a fuel injected car. And report back when you've got a couple of hundred runs not just 4. Heck with 4 runs .1 could be normal variation. Nowhere enough data to form any type of conclusions.

Also Clutch life isnt that long in these cars anywayz and most peeps go to a better one soon after they buy anywayz so personally i dont consider that an issue...same with rotors...i had to replace mine when i got my car...and only 94 i only had 25k miles on the car before they were warped.

2nd that! Mine currently has 29k and NJ roads arent good for sports cars:No: I say, if the 00 is manual and you can work without T tops (assuming the price is good) get it!

You know, after all that, I came across something else
I found a '00 navy blue Z, Tan leather, 41k miles on it, hust shifter, new tires, and (never thought Id say this, but at a GM dealer, certified car. Just off lease, a FL car. The GM dealer is offering a 90 day 3k mile bumper to bumper on it, and since they cant certify the car with anything aftemarket, they replaced the loudmouth exhaust with a brand new stock exchaust...its a sweet car....stick, traction control, ttops, monsoon, whole 9 yards....

Took it for a test drive, put down a deposit!

Awesome, that sounds like a nice ride. I like that color and sounds like a good collection of options. Hopefully the warranty gives you a chance to find if there are any bugs in the car before it is on your tab. If I could have got the traction control I would have been ever happier with my car.

I got my Z28 from a Chevy dealer up here in MA. It was not certified preowned but it still has the balance of the factory warranty. The only thing that sucked was after getting it I found some cosmetic body damage that I did not see when test driving or when I picked up the car and the dealership was not helpful about fixing it, blamed it on me despite the car only seeing my garage. Something that should have took $$ off the car for me cost me money to put back right, double edged sword here. Will cost them in the end since we will not but another car from them. Lesson learned but all I wanted to say is make sure you take a good look over every inch before you drive off the lot for the first time. I would hate to see you get burn't too on something subtle but expensive.

Enjoy and good luck.
Stephen
