98 F-Body turning over but no start... help needed.
98 F-Body turning over but no start... help needed.
I have a 1998 Camaro Z28, I put in a 99 LS1 w/ 30K and also converted it to a 99+ PCM & Wiring harness. The car will turn over and when it does turn over it doesnt start, I am getting 60 PSI to the fuel rail via a brand new walbro 255lph and I am getting lots of spark from MSD wires and NGK Iridiums. The plugs are dry so I was thinking no fuel was getting into the cylinders so I pulled the fuel rail and then plugged the harness into the rail and attempted to start the car and lots of fuel came out of the injectors. I even tried spraying carb cleaner in the tb and giving it a start and still no start.... which is kinda wierd, usually if there is spark and fuel/fumes it will atleast try to run for a second. Im not sure what the deal is. I know the plugs need ground to spark, where does it get this ground from?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike
EDIT:
Tests I have done:
1) Fuel Pressure Test via Fuel Rail Guage (55-60 PSI)
2) Spark Check - Pulled plug and plugged into wire, lots of spark when trying to crank car.
3) Fuel Injector Ohm test - 12.6 ohms each
4) Carb Cleaner into intake - No start
5) Fuel Injector Connector Voltage at key on - 11.30 Volts (Battery Voltage) when using another ground. Jumping the connector to itself, more like 5 Volts.
6) Screw driver in plug - shocked the hell out of me.
7) Pulled fuel rail and plugged in injectors, turned car over and lots of fuel sprayed out.
8) Replaced Crank Sensor (same issue)
I am stumped. I have many saying Cam/Crank sensor but Im having trouble believing this as those things would allow the car not to spark when I am getting plenty of spark.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Just drained the gas out, going to try fresh gas. Im getting gas and fuel, damn mystery issue but I think the gas is bad, suppose to be clear, my **** is super yellow, dark **** color.
Ok guys found the issue, no thanks to the guy who sold me the motor. I did a compression test and was getting about 30 in ea cylinder, some about 15 and I decided to tighten the head bolts alittle more and put some oil in the cylinders. The cylinder I did it to shot up to 140 which is the normal. I believe it is the heads/head gaskets, not the rings. The engine only has 30k and the guy informed me it was a warranty pull out for blown head gasket so probably they didnt fix it as they should or the heads were removed when it was out of the car and never had gaskets replaced.
Thanks for all the help.
Thanks for all the help.
Dont have the funds for that and I can pull LS1 heads in less than 30 min so its no big deal. Im getting some new gaskets and bolts but other than that it started up today with the old stuff.
