warped airbox lid seal

i took off the airbox lid to see how bad those baffles were, and noticed that the seal between it to the part that connects to the MAF is warped badly. i tried pushing it back in, but it wont work. it doesnt look like it in the picture, but air can get in without being filtered. anybody have any thoughts? is it fixable, or do i need a new lid?

ok, well, it seemed impossible at first, but i did get the seal reseated, and put some silicone on it to seal nicely, so in short, its fixed. if any moderator sees this, feel free to delete the thread.

No need to delete the thread at all.
But here's a little bit of advice. Get an aftermarket lid (around $100) and gain some HP as well as cleaning up the underhood look. Look to our supporting vendor index above they can help you out.

thats the eventual plan. i just promised myself id leave it like i got it for a month, and its only been a week, so id rather keep it like it is. besides, it seems that the neck between the lid and maf is much more restrictive than the lid itself, but maybe thats just me

An aftermarket lid replaces the lid and silencer, the MAF plugs directly into the lid doing away with the restriction.
