94 1LE or 98 z28

ok, I have a chance to own a 94 1LE w/ 109k miles for approx. 4500
or
98 z28 m6 with 69k miles for 6900

What would you prefer?

Unless there's something seriously wrong with the 98, you shouldn't even be asking... The 98+ Z28 are better hands down and $2500 more for a 4 year newer car with half the milage is really nothing...

Not beating on the LT1, as I love mine, but the LS1 is simply superior and you get better brakes and better aftermarket as well...

It's easier to bolt 1LE (or better) parts onto an LS1 car than it is to bolt LS1 power into a 1LE car .

Unless you want a lt car because you already have a ls1 (sig), or want the 1le for track use, or you only have 4500 to spend would be the only logical reasons you wouldnt get the 98. 40k is a decent mile gap too, especially for 2400 more.

I test drove the 1LE, and............................ What a piece of crap...

I was so disapointed. I can't believe how crappy that car was... Guy was trying to give it to me for 4250..

What did you expect from a nearly 15 year old car with that much mileage and it still had the original suspension, etc?

Lt1 is like Chuck steak
LS1 is filet mignon

I agree with everyone. Ls1 hands down. I thought that it would be a good bargain to own a rare 1LE. Thinking that one day this old machinery would be worth some money. I can't hold on to it for a million years, it probably won't be worth anything because of its condition, mileage, original black paint painted over with red then the red painted over with black. Yes thats right, three layers of paint. WTF. Overspray everywhere even on the engine and gas tank.

No AC/ its damn hot where I live. No power windows, come on, at least if there is no AC let me have the ability to roll down my other window without having to strech out across the car.
