I have a 408ci stroked LQ9 and i noticed it was a little noisy yesterday. Oil pressure was steady but checking the oil level I was down by about 3/4 a quart but I have also previously added a half a quart(at about 1.5k mi this oil change). Im at only 3000mi on this oil, and 5k on the engine. Whats up, is this retarded? Do I need to pull it and re-ring it or is this normal?

 

Change the oil and track it again.

 

I don't think it's uncommon for a lsx engine to use 1qt every 3-5k miles is it?

Mine did that when I bought it when it only had 38k on the motor.
