Unhappy 408 problems

I was going to wait until it was done to post about it but I`m running into problems again. I bought the 408 stroker from TSP and the old ls1 oil pan won`t work with the new crank. The rod bolts are hitting some. It needs about another 3/8ths of clearence. Is there some kind of spacer I can buy or am I going to have to go a buy a new pan?

Are you sure the rods/rod bolt aren't hitting the windage tray? Usually you see interference with the windage tray, and not the pan (depending upon what you bought). Shim the windage tray for clearance, but make sure the oil pickup height is adjusted to compensate!

it should be the windage tray. i shimmed mine down 1/8" and thought it was enough clearance. while running the rods still hit. i ended up just opening the windage tray up, where the rods were touching at.

here's a pic of the windage tray before i notched it.

There are 2 things you can do. First off, if you got ARP main studs they will come with shims that you put under the windage tray that drop the tray lower so the crank doesnt hit it. The problem you then have (at least I did in my C5) is the windage tray will actually hit the oil pan in some spots, and require a little clearancing. Here is where I had to grind my C5 pan down...
