2002 Camaro Transmission!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats horrible,
For a new car hell that dealership should give you a new one or a whole new transmission. I've never heard of an Automatic being that bad I think you got a lemon car man, if it fouls up again use your states lemon law on it.

Guess what guys! Thanks for all your help. I still sit here with no solution. The car is currently broken again with the same problem. This is the 4th time it broke with now 4700 miles on it. GM is giving the biggest run around along with Ferman Chevrolet in Tarpon Springs Florida. It seems like someone has the power to help me. But no one is. I guess i am going to go with the BBB Auto Line and maybe picket out front of the dealership when they have there large sale this weekend. "anyone want to join me" All i want to do is get into a different car before they are all gone. I purchased the car to have a 35th anniversary and all i have is a 35th piece of junk. If there is anyone who has other suggestions on what to do please let me know. Thanks.

I would try to get ahold of a GM region rep, I had problems with a GMC truck in '95 and couldn't get results from the dealer. When I talked to the GM rep about the "lemon law" I got a phone call the next day from the dealer, they took my truck back and gave me a brand new one just like it, they said the regional rep authorized them to send it back to the factory to see if they could find the problem, either way the new one didn't have the same problem or did it develop. I can't believe that dealer would want to risk all the bad press you can bring down on him. Good luck Buddy, keep us posted. Later..

Hey there,
I have an additional reccomendation. You should contact Chevy customer service by calling them or writing them. Send a copy of a compliant to the dealer and Chevy. My sister did this when her Alero had water leaking problems, after she did that Oldsmobile was calling her up, and told her if it happened again they would give her a new car. I'm sure with all your problems a GM/Chevy rep would be more than willing to help you. The dealer should have offered you a new Camaro, because thats just disgraceful how you have been treat so far.
I hope you get it sorted out!

Ok i purchased a 02 Camaro z28 Auto! Sence i have had the car i put 4000 miles on it and it has been in the shop 3 times. 1st time i had no second gear so they replaced the 2nd gear clutch and the band. So i got it back and it worked great for about 200 miles then the same thing.... They replaced the clutch again and the second gear band again and they test drove it and it broke again... So they went back to the drawing board. They said it was the CASE!!! so they replaced the case and put all the old parts in.... Then it lasted about 800miles.. AND THE SAME THING HAPPEND!!!!!! So now they tore it apart again and they said ok we are going to replace the whole unit with a SRTA tranny. They did and it worked for about 1000miles and it happend AGAIN!!!! So they contacted GM tech support and they said it was the Computer and some transmission electronics. So they replaced the insides of the tranny again and the electronics and now i have it back!! the car now just turned 4000 miles. Has anyone else had a problem like this????? please let me know.. i need all the help i can get... Thanks...</font>

You have had the exact same part fail 3 times. Thats all you need. I would be looking for them to replace my car with a brand new one seeing as how you really havent enjoyed this one at all... Also note, that I used to have an auto and am now in a manual for a reason. Mine werent THAT bad but they did break. I would suggest you look into your local lemon laws as that car seems to be plagued with that issue.
I would hope that they were offering you a loaner car the entire time as well.
If not, I would be in a very new car the with more stuff. hehe
