Question 2001 V6/V8 Engine Swap

I have a 2001 v6 5 speed camaro that I would like to swap in a v8 but I don't know where to begin. Do I need to swap the transmission as well? This is my first car and my first engine swap. Any and all help would be greatly aprreciated.

Buy a wrecked donor car.

I've heard it's much cheaper and easier to just sell the V6 and buy a Z28 or SS.

Re: 2001 V6/V8 Engine Swap

You need to change the engine, the transmission, the driveshaft, the shocks, springs, k-member, wiring harness, pcm, gauge cluster, fuel tank and lines, radiator and fans, motor mounts, you need v8 accessory brackets, exhaust, and a few other things. Probably not a good idea on your first car. I'd hunt for a V8.
