i have a new crate motor. dyno was 405 horse 425 torque.i put 3:73 gears in a raptor tranny and a 2000 stall.i have a comp cam 268 and 29 inch tires and air shocks for clearance reasons.i am wondering why i cant break the tires loose from a stop, the only thing i can think of is the low stall.any ideas?

What were you thinking? With that motor you should have at least a 3200 and that's a bare minimum. It would be way happier with a 3800 or so.

What gears do you have with those 29s. Should be 4.10s if you want an kind of performance.

268 adv? That's roughly a 218 @ .050", which is a small cam.

Anyway, I agree with Al. That stall is too small especially when running a big tire like that and not a ton of gear.

2000 stall? I hope you didn't pay big money for that, that's barely anymore then stock and it's probably a heavy 12" converter. Dump the stall and tires. You don't need 29" tires.

Get a 9.5" 4000rpm stall and 26" slicks/drag radials and run 11s.

Your combo is completely out of wack.
