160 thermo b4 fan mod?

160 thermo b4 fan mod?
Will it be ok to change the thermo before I change the fan settings? If I install a 160 thermo what should my fans be set to once I set them or get the slp fan switch?

you don't HAVE to change the fans to take advantage of the lower thermostat.
you will still see lower driving temps when moving. the ONLY advantage of the lower fan settings is when you are sitting in the staging lanes.
how come this myth about 160 stats not being usefull without fan reprogram is still circulating...yesh

i don't think so...
knocked down 28mpg at 80mph on the highway a few weeks ago
and one trip that limited me to 50-60 (just enough to keep it in 6th the whole time) i hit about 30.5mpg
