160* thermostat???
160* thermostat???
How bad is it to have the 160* in during the winter?? Should I change back to the stock 180*? Since I have to drive the camaro all winter, my winter car has a $500 oil leak...
should be fine, may notice a little longer warm up on REALLY cold days.
i know i drove my old 87 IROC with a 160 stat in the winter in NY...few 0 deg days...and had ample heat.
in theory...once warmed up...the engine should maintain 170-175deg whether the outside air temp is 0 or 100...as long as the car is moving and the stat is functioning properly.
on the really cold days it will be more efficient at cooling the car, but it is still dictated by the open/closing of the stat
