Where do I go to get a 160 Degree stat cheap that works ? I know the Hypertech is probably the way to go but is it the only way to go ? If so I'll buy it but if an Advance or Autozone is alright I would rather do that. Part #'s are good to if someone has them if something else will work. Thanks!

 

The very word "Hypertech" angers a lot of LS1 techies. In fact, it should probably be banned on this forum.

 

What have I missed ? I'm new to the LS1 world. Is it the thermostat or the programmer crap they make ? Just trying to make sure I don't need to stay away from the stat before I go out and buy it.

 

160 stats are a waste of money, just reprogram the fans to come on earlier.

You can do a stat, but the most important thing is to get the fans to come on earlier as well.
