12 Bolt Rear Questions
12 Bolt Rear Questions
I was wondering how much it runs for a 12 bolt rear installed? I have a 98 TA with traction control.
I also wanted to know what these rears can handle in the way of HP. What is the max HP that they are good for? The plan is to be running a 3:73 gear and a set of ET streets. I may go up to a 4:10 if the ET streets can stick 450+ RWHP to the ground and not spin up to badly? By the way, the car is an A4
Thanks for any information you can give me.

There is a local GP that is going to start soon on Currie rear ends and Detroit Speedworks. Click the link for details as they arise12 bolt and 9"
Figure around $300-500 for install depending on shop and rear. I paid $2235 plus $97 shipping for my Moser with 30 spline, TCS Rings, 1350 yoke, TA Cover, Eaton Posi, so you can figure anywhere from $2300 - $2800 depending on options and company.
If you go to Moser's site www.moserengineering.com, they have a calculator that can tell you how much horsepower each spline count can handle.
