i bought this car just over a week ago and it wont turn over now. i can hear the fuel pump when i turn the key and the battery is good, i tested it so is the starter. it just cranks and cranks like its going to start but it wont. the car has only 30k on it but its past the in service date so no warranty sigh i dont know what else to check or do, it did it once yesterday but i gave it like 2 min and it fired right up, then last night it did it, and wouldnt crank at all so i pushed it and popped the clutch and it fired right up, now today i had to go somewhere and it wouldnt even turn over when i pushed it and popped the clutch, i tried for half a block to do it sigh im out of ideas and dont know what else to try, anyone have any advice?

 

Check all your under hood fuses.

How was the running yesterday? Feel any different? Idle right?

 

car idled fine. ran great.

 

Is your security light coming on? It sounds to me like you are having a VATS problem. When the VATS system can't read the key it will let the car crank but it won't start. Try using the other key.

 

the security light didnt come on that i noticed, i already had the car towed it was sitting in front of the house and i couldnt move it so the dealership came and got it and is now probably going to charge me my first born to fix a minor problem

 

try turning off your air conditioner and disconnect your battery for a few seconds.
