i plan to purchase the lsx intake manifold for my car. i noticed that it appears that the lsx intake has a hole similar to the egr on its mold but it in not cut out. is there a way to make a functional EGR on a lsx intake or even a fake egr that will atleast pass the visial? see i live in california and we have hella smog laws, so i would like to set up the lsx with egr. IF NOT at least a fake non functional egr. BTW anyone know if they actually test the egr system come smog.

Do you plan on going with More cubes? Ported Heads? Big Cam? If not.. Stick with the LS6

 

The LSX comes with instructions on how to cut it out for EGR hookup.

 

oh really? the lsx comes with instructions for EGR? can anyone confirm this? if so i must place in order. and yes i have 03 ls6 cam going on to. i have not decided on ls6 heads or other like patriot.

Why would you need anyone to confirm this. I just said it did and I have an LSX on my 00 Formula.

 

oh thanks man that sounds great. i talked to t bryne and they said nothing of egr instuctions with lsx and said that my car would not pass smog. i assummed that if the lsx came with instructions he would have told me so so they could make the sale. what company did you order from? i need to insure i get egr instuctions with my intake.

 

the instructions come from the manufacturer in the box. Get it from your favorite vendor.
