if you get a vigilante they drive like stock untill you mash the peddle down then they stall out. So if you drive like a grandma you may be ok.

Yep I laugh when some one says that they lost MPH going to a high stall. I gained MPH with my Yank ST3500. Get's you off the line quicker so you have more time to accelerate and is very efficient on the top end. Went from a 108 to 110mph.

What year is your car? 2002 stock manifolds are like shorties, I would do gears, and increase the stall. I had my stock stall pulled out and increased for around $200 but that was on my 84Z28.
