wiring fbody fans up, what gauge?

Wondering what gauge wiring I should use for my fans from a fbody. Power and ground wires from battery to relay and switch to relay? Not sure what gauge I should be using for these? Thanks. Also if anyone knows offhand how the wiring should go to which posts and what relay Ill need that'd be great.

Just curious, buy why are you adding relays? Why dont you just use the stock ones? Unless this is not in an f-body.

Exactly. for an 89 1500 series. Got a 4.3 in it now. Im going to slowly start getting the accessories ready for the LT1 swap and figured this one can be done now. Gotta do the fuel system next. The fans are going to be run from the ignition switch for the trigger for now but when the swap happens ill wire them into the pcm. Anyways, for now im going to run a relay.

Check the fan pig tail and use that gage for power and ground. Most likely 14ga. or 12ga. Relay switch is probably 16ga.
