When I turn my wipers off they stay in the upright position.What gives?

 

Inside your wiper motor is a cam and a park switch. These control the stop position of your blades. Check to see if that switch is broken or the cam is bent.

BTW, most new motors dont come with the switch. They expect you to transfer it from the old motor. So if it's shot, you can order it seperately. The cam is part of the motor assy.
