Windshield Wipers

Do ALL 4th gens have the same wiper motor?

I can't stand that stupid, bounce-park feature it does It's impossible to get a perfectly cleaned windshield with this POS motor. I always end up with that final line... "this" close to my line of sight (holds fingers up)

If the newer 4th gens have different motors that don't do the bounce-thing, are they a dirrect swap?

If the newer 4th gens do share the same motor... has anyone come-up with an alternative? Anyone aware of a different motor that'll fit?

Why can't the thing just... park?!

What's the "bounce-park feature"..... never noticed anything unusual on my 94?

I believe he is referring to when you first the wipers, they pop up say an inch or two then start from that point to do it's sweep, return to this popped up spot and cycle again, the intermittent cycle is more clearly obvious to see this, now when you turn off the wipers, can be any where in the cycle, then cycle to the popped up position, stop, then retract to the park position against the cowl vent plastic, most other cars, any brand, start and stop from the park spot, even on intemittent cycles, SmokeyZ, sorry i don't know if all years 4th Gen do this, wish i was more help for you

P.S.: If you don't mind, i gonna test my sig to see how it fits in a post, i think it's too big last time i heard, it's been awhile since i included it

Injuneer, pretty much what morpwral said, how they stay up a bit during intermittent and they don't just go down and park, they go down, then bounce back up a little then go down.

morpwral, I'm glad you mentioned that- intermittent is the worst!!! Man, how irritating is it to have your wipers a quarter of the way up ?!

So, we ALL live with this wonderful feature? Gotta be a motor that'll swap in... even if ya gotta make small adapter brackets or something.

NO ONE has a fix for this?
