Windshield Molding 97 Z28

Going to replace my windshield and was wondering if anyone knows the molding part #. I've searched the forums and have only found part #s for t-top cars, mine is w/o t-tops.
I know they come in high and low gloss but don't know which would be the correct one for my car. Is it just preference?
Thanks
Brian

I would take the car to an auto glass replacement shop, they have all the correct adhesives and primers to put the w/s in correctly. The w/s is an important part of the car's structure and you don't want it coming lose if you get in an accident. If the passenger side air bag deploys, it deploys against the w/s, and if it is not installed properly it will blow the w/s out of the car. I know this because I own my own shop and have been putting glass in for ten years. If you still want the part # I can get it for you.

I am an auto glass tech. I just don't really like the way the aftermarket moldings fit on the camaro windshields so I thought I would go with the factory molding. Do you know of any places on the internet where I could buy Fiber sticks/Tooling paddles?
Thanks
Brian

I buy alot of my supplies from Sommer & Maca, www.somaca.com. As far as the molding goes, call your local GM dealer, they can get the molding for you. Your employer should be able to get fiber stick from there suppliers.
