Window sweep replacement

I need to replace the dry rotted and cracked outside window sweeps on my '84. Two of the screws that hold the strip to the door are behind the window glass. Window up or down, I can not get to these screws. Are there ay "tricks" to get to them, or do I have to remove the window just to replace the strips??

not remove the glass, but you need to take it loose so it will lay lower in the door

I was able to remove the strip by taking off the two top inner window guides. That gave me about an extra 1" of room -enough to use a right angle screw driver. I also had to remove the triangle filler plate at the front of the door by loosening the front guide assembly. There was one screw behind that plate.
