Window Regulator Question
Window Regulator Question
What is the easiest way to remove the regulator. I'm going to be changing the entire window.
Can i just drill out the rivets and remove the entire assembly out from the top?
How do the wheels that connect the regulator to the track of the window come out?
Also I don't have a rivet gun, so i was just going to use nuts/bolts to hold the new regulator, will this be ok? and does anyone have any experience with the size of the bolts.
Thanks...

Re: Window Regulator Question
The reg./motor assembly will not come out the top.
There are holes in the inner door panel the reg./motor can be removed through the aft hole.
The "wheels" as you refer to them slide off the ends of the tracks. After the reg. is loose. It helps if you remove the inner short track from the inside panel.
New reg./motor kits come with bolts and nuts.
Here's a site with some window diagrams.:
