Question Window off Its Track

For the past week, when my driver's side window shuts, it makes a "clank" sound.

Today, when I closed it, I think it came off its track because it wouldn't close all the way without me pushing it up and it was leaning forward a little. When it did close, it felt like it wasn't sitting correctly and now when I close my driver's door, it takes a little more effort to make it shut.

I'm sure this has happened to some people here. Why has exactly happened and how can I fix it? Thanks.

You'll need to pull off the interior door panel and see what is wrong. Many times the problem is guide #3. It comes loose from the main track. Let us know what you see.

Ditto above....

Also, I recently replaced my drivers weather striping, motors, and a the part that actually holds the window glass(The part that TraceZ referenced).

Here is a thread for reference too....

Shoebox has a post here as well. Check his site in his sig. His site is very useful in repairing window issues.

not to hijack but had a question

Me and my dad did the drivers side window motor (rivets had stripped for motor) so we put aircraft grade plates to keep the motor from moving now the passenger window has scratches and the motor is going up slow so we are gonna replace the whole window + motor I already got a donor window we took out of my parts car but im kinda confused how to put it back on.. we got new bolts and such to hold it on i guess its just opposite of removal?
