Window motor issues...

I had my driver side window motor replaced about 2 months ago. Last week it started only working while I was driving and going over bumps. Also, whenever I tried rolling it up or down, the radio would get staticy. So I assumed that the mechanic that replaced the window motor didn't make all the proper connections or didn't solder something correctly.

I took the car in yesterday to have it looked at and they called me today saying that I need a new window motor. I bought the last motor from an oem supplier so if it's the motor, I gotta pay for a new one for them to replace if that is indeed the issue. Do you think they're just trying to get a few extra bucks out of me or does this honestly sound like I bought a bad window motor?

Buy and put in the window motor yourself if you are worried. I've read about people having to replace window motors ever three months or so though in extreme cases.

That issues sounds strange since you added the static radio thing. The stock express down module could cause some feedback if the motor did die in fact.

The motors are under powered from the factory. Check out or website and do a search for AutoTrix. You will find lots of info on why you need to install our kit so this will not happen again
