Window goes half up..then stops...then goes again

Window goes half up..then stops...then goes again

93 Z28.

Window goes up like 1/4 of the way...stops...i wait like a minute then it goes up a little more...then i stop wait and then it goes all the way up in a minute of two..

Regulator??

Sounds like the symptoms of a dying window motor. Check out Shoebox's website as it has a great tutorial for this as well as many other things. You can pick up these motors from most parts stores for around 50 bucks and they usually include a lifetime warranty. http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

Yep. Your window motor is breathing it's final breaths. Follow the instructions on the shoebox site listed above, it's really pretty easy. I've had to replace a window motor or 2 on every f-body I've owned. They're garbage.

As a temporary fix, you can bypass the thermal regulator. You should still plan on replacing the motor with a new one.

my window did the same thing. I ran a power wire straight from the battery into two relays. wiered them int to the switch, and it goes up faster then it did then when the car was new.
