Window doesn't go up or down when hot!

My driver side window on my 97 WS6 goes down fine until about halfway then it stops. If I wait about 30 seconds I can get it to go all the way down. Same thing going up but worst, if I try to put the window up it will stop about a quarter of the way up and then go up in small increments after I let it sit for a few seconds. I hear a click under the dash when its stuck but nothing happens. It seems like something is holding it and somekind of safety breaker pops open. Then it cools and pops back closed for a sec. Im confused, this just suddenly happened.

Thanx guys. The site Dave89IROC gave me solved all problems. As stated above it took me about 45 minutes. Its the first time. I already had a new window motor for my S10 and so happens, its identical! Gotta love GM.
