it can be fixed. just depends on the amount you want to spend to get it fixed.. I had a truck run over the driver s corner of my third gen. cost me all of $500 to get the frame straightened then you just need to get the new front fender and such

Re: Will this buff out?

Yeah this will need at least new front bumper, both front fenders, possibly hood, at least one headlight, maybe some work on the frame around the right front, also part of the piece the air dam attaches to broke off (first pic).

I don't really care how much it is since the guy at fault will be paying for all of it. My main question is do you think it will cost more than 3k for all that. If it will then it stands a chance of being totaled, and I won't be able to fix it if that's the case.

Re: Will this buff out?

if there is not any frame damage.. you have a better chance.. and 3000? wow... thats would be a sad thing... I can get a full front clip for a forth gen for $300... that includes the header bunmper hood and fenders... so if there was no frame damage. you might be able to get the parts for cheap. the thing that would kill would be if everything needed to be brand new OEM. Also.. the bugger which would be would also be a paint.. that can get crazy expensive The thing I would do is see if you can get some estimates from local shops to get it fixed.. then present the loewest bid or whatever the insurance will shell out for before totalling it. That is something i never have liked about insurance comapnies they always figure brand new.. not what it can possibly cost to get it fixed. most times it is the maximum depending on the shop that they authorize which ussually tries to milk them.. One thing I did was when the guy ran over mine, I settled with him and his insurance paid me the money in a check then I went and bought all the new panels and such for it and still had plenty left over (did not get the frame fixed for 4 years though... man the gas in the tank must be horrid.... have not gotten the panels on it yet.... )

Re: Will this buff out?

it is at a local salvage yard.. I go there from time to time... and camaros tend to sit forever out here... every now and then a good one comes in with the front in good condition and the rear completely fubared... I get lots of stuff real cheap. the more i grab, the better the deal. especially if i go take all the parts off myself.. I am sure if you are good you can find a salvage yard around with some old guy running it who does not know the worth of parts lol. the last 4th gen out here got taken away... just alot of thirdgens now.. and i can buy a whole car for 300 to 500 there depending.. (it's not like they are losing money. they pay maybe 50 to 100 for a car

I suppose if you send me a PM so I will remember this one.. I can keep an eyeball out for any new parts that come in and let you know.. I know one place may very ship out the parts.. the other place will not. (and shipping that stuff might get spendy depending on where to and such since they are oversized parts)
