i dont notice it all the time, but sometimes my car sputters when its in 1st and im trying to get going, when i get on it in first gear, it does it for a little while and then it starts to really get moving, but at first it always feels a little sluggish, any ideas?

 

I have experienced this on my '97 Z-28 from time to time. Perhaps you should
try the following:

1. replace fuel filter & air filter
2. inspect MAF, clean if necessary
3. inspect other sensors: O2's, TPS, EGR, knock, IAT, and others
4. replace plugs & wires if necessary

 

He has it right on. To be honest it sounds like a fuel filter. airfilter wont make your car sputter...try plugs as well. If they are black and missfirein then you will need to change and replace. Go out behind your car if it smells like eggs then your 02's are goin. Knock is hard to check since its under your manifold leave that one till last.
