Where do these brackets go?

I had the front clip off of the car for a couple years and forgot where these go...

They look like the reinforcements that are used at the edges of the front bumper cover, where it bolts to the front fender.

Another thing... How necessary are they? Would it hurt anything to leave them off?

You run the risk of the bolts pulling through the soft plastic over time. I know it's a pain, but I would install them.

I pulled my bumper cover to remove the crash pad and support (its a "track" car). That's why I remember seeing them. When I reinstalled the bumper cover, I used all the factory parts. Seemed like a good idea at the time..... and still does.
