whats wrong with this

Hey guys,
Why did my car run slower with the new exhaust and y-pipe than it did stock? Can humidity really make that much of a difference (70% vs 100%). Also, why is my et 13.3 when my trap speed is 108?

Re: whats wrong with this

Well after the mods your 60' time got worse which makes up for the 2-3 tenths that you didn't run. Did you miss shifts? Delayed shifts? Bog?

The 60 foot as said is a good 2 tenths ya dropped, add that in with the conditions and you ate up your gain. Was the temp hotter or cooler?

Re: whats wrong with this

That 100% humidity killed you, along with the 2.1 60' time. Get your 60's below 2.0 and you'll be in good shape.

Boxed LCA's w/ poly bushings helped me a lot. Dropped .2 off my 60's and pushed me into the 12's.

Re: whats wrong with this

The humidity may have been higher, but that was EASILY offset by the reduction in temperature (80->67degF) and increase in barometer (29.36->31.25"Hg) on the "after exhaust and Y-pipe" run.

The 60-ft time cost him about .24-seconds. I'd be more concerned with the MPH, which shows a bit of a loss in HP.

I'm not familiar with the SLP Y-pipe and "custom Dual/Dual exhaust" - is that going to provide the same performance increase as something like the Borla adjustable, or one of the more agressive cat-backs?
