What's a normal amp draw from your battery?
Well, I'm trying to figure out why my battery is dead. I went and got it tested and .5 amps is being drawn from the battery. Is that normal, or is it just because I havn't driven my car a lot? I've only put 400 miles on it since April.
I went on vacation for about 10 days, came back and wouldn't start. So I jumped it, and it was fine. Now I havn't driven it for about 4 days because nasty weather and same thing, battery is drained.
Just trying to figure out if that draw is normal, or if I need to start looking for a short and pulling fuses or just drive it more. Thanks.

If everything is off, there shouldn't be any more than 20mA (0.02 amps) or so needed to keep power to the volitile memory in the PCM and stereo system presets/clock, etc.
You're right in thinking you'll have to start pulling fuses to find the current drain.
Bear in mind when you're diagnosing this that some circuits will use power for a few seconds when first connected, then shut down.

Shoot. Is there a common place to start looking and do I check fuses in both the engine bay and inside the car? I know I'll be checking my electric water pump wires and exhaust cutout wires. Thanks.
