Whats it called and how do i replace it?
My camaro has a problem. The turn signal switch only 'locks' for the right blinker. If i want to activate the blinker for the left side i have to hold down the turn signal lever(lame!). My high beams also dont work. The switch moves backward, but does not activate the lights.
this sounds like i have two issues: Turn signal cam is gone and the switch that controls the hi beams needs replacing. What is that switched called?
Oh and how hard is it to replace the turn signal cam?

The turn signal switch is replaced as one part. The cam is not seperate. You'll need to replace the switch. To do so you will need a steering wheel puller and a lock plate compressor, both commonly available at most auto parts stores.
As for the high beams, the high/low beam switch is located down on the lower column by the ignition switch. It is actuated by a long metal rod that goes up to the multi function lever. It is likely that the switch is fine, and the rod just needs adjusting.
