There is a plug attatched to the hatch latch assembly that has 3 wires going to it. Pin A=black with red stripe. Pin B=Black(ground) Pin C=Black with yellow stripe. The wires were smashed in half at one time and the latch still works so i am not sure what it goes to..? Anyone know?

top or bottom of the hatch?

 

It goes into the latch assembly on the bottom of the hatch.

 

There is a switch for the interior lights, attached to the lower 1/2 of the hatch latch. Its a little black lever, that gets pushed down by the U-bolt on the hatch to turn the lights off.

 

Thanks. I guess i just never noticed that the interior lights didn't come on when i opened the hatch. Did not know they were supposed to.
